I could use some pointers on how to improve this boy's trim - first time I've ever tried to do a show trim! I downloaded some info and it said to strip out the top of head and top third of ears, which felt very weird. Stripped his shoulder, back, sides, front and sides of front legs, sides of back legs down to 2nd thigh. Thinned most of the rest of it. I can see loads of little fluffy ends that I can tidy next time, I was aiming to do not enough rather than too much. But any experts who can tell me if something's badly wrong or got missed would be very welcome!

And yes, he's a sable roan - very unusual colour!

I suggest tarrendayle.com. good tips for show grooming.

your dog should have more stripping on shoulders and neck plus muzzle should be shaved w # 10 blade from front of ears forward not on top on head. In usa we take a bit more hair off rear quarters also . But the website I referrenced is more uk style grooming

The 2 dogs above are my ECS, I am actually a nurse, but I show and groom my ECS with the help of my Co-owner. I hope to complete the orange boy's CH in the near future. I think they both are wonderful.
