I talked to the guy at Quadruped today and although it wasn't about this somehow the conversation turned to it. When I told him that two people with full coated cockers weren't happy with conditioner, he recommended using the silky coat conditioner, mixed 4 to 1, with one part of the all in one mixed in. He said he uses this on his Afghan in full coat and only has to do him out every three weeks. Just thought I'd pass it along.

I did order some of that and today I used in on a once a month yorkie I do who is always matted, so I'll see how she looks in a month when she comes back. I cut Toph down in anticipation of the puppies coming so I can't use her as a guinea pig anymore.

I ordered the silky coat conditioner (but you have to rinse it out, it is not a leave-in) and have used it twice on my full-coated girls, it leaves the coat feeling very very soft, there are still a few mats in the usual spots (under the arms) but I find they are not as tight and are much easier to comb out. The scent is nice but does not last as long as the Leave-In conditioner.

I also ordered the Yucca Botanical Royal Shampoo instead of the All In One Tearless Shampoo (have not decided which I like best of the two). I might try the rinse out conditioner and then top it off with the leave-in just for the long lasting scent.

Yes I do spend alot of time in the shower with the girls. :TWag

He said that it can and should be used as a leave in Deb. They are changing the label.

SWEET!! That is awesome, still at the 1 to 4? That seems kind of high because it is very thick and the label says 1 to 8?

that's what he said. I didn't question it because I didn't have the bottle in front of me. It didn't weigh down the Yorkie coat so I doubt it would weigh down a cocker coat.

He said they had it as a rinse out because most people can't get past the leave in. I said I find it ridiculous to use anything BUT a leave in lol! What a waste of water and rinsing time.

Probably not Colleen. I don't much care for the personality of the owner. I emailed the company to see if they would give me a price break if I order 10 gallons of the conditioner and his response was if you order over five hundred dollars you get free shipping. I pointed out that I already get free shipping on what I use and with dilution ratios the conditioner I use is half the cost but he just didn't seem to get that.

I am loving all the product I've tried so far including the silky coat. I am taking care of a cockapoo for a client and used it on him the other day and he was really matted and the mats brushed right out. So far they haven't returned either.

Oh wow. If I had a spot for another cocker I would so take a trip to washington. I know those are going to be wonderful babies. I envy the lucky lucky people who get these pups
