Please keep those in harms way in your prayers as fires continue to rage in and around Austin. We have had four major fires since Sunday and only one is under containment at this time. The worst in the picture below has burned over 30,000 acres and destroyed over 500 homes. Many have lost pets or don't know where they are at this point as these fires started during Labor day weekend and many people were traveling, had pet sitters or were just gone for the day. Some had just a few minutes to escape with their lives. The winds from Tropical storm Lee were gusting 30-40 miles at times this weekend. Firemen were letting dogs, horses, etc. out of houses, yards, etc. and just letting them run while they fought the blaze. I am heartbroken when I read the pleas for info regarding info on missing furkids. One major fire has destroyed 25 homes and damaged another 30 just 3 miles from me and it is where my kiddos went to elementary school and middle school. This neighborhood was just reopened today with the fire 45% contained. Please pray for those that have lost their furbabies, their homes and for the brave men and women that selflessly fight these raging fires. Thankfully there hasn't been any loss of human life at this time. Thank you.

I have heard about this on the news. It is tragic for those that lost so much and those that are continuing to live in fear of what may happen. Major prayers on their way.

Adding my prayers. We have been through this with such dry weather this year too. Terrifying and so sad for those who have lost so much. Be safe Lee.

Continued prayers for all those affected by these horrible fires. :hp I too live in a fire-danger area & it's one of my worst fears.
