I would like to request prayers for a very dear young friend of mine. She is 29 years old and was born with Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2). I've known her and her parents for 10 years now. She was living a normal life until she reached puberty which triggered the disease into action. She is undergoing her 20th surgery today in 16 years to remove a rapidly-growing tumor in her right ear. She found out through the same MRI that she has 2 other tumors as well, but they will only go after this one today. She is the most courageous & inspirational person I have ever met. Her motto is "I LOVE LIFE!" Her faith is unwaivering and she always signs her emails "Continually in His arms."
I know at some point her body is going to give up even though her spirit never will, but I pray that won't happen yet.
If you could find it in your hearts to say a prayer for her - her name is Tamra - I would really appreciate it.

Sending prayers for Tamra. I am always amazed at the positive attitudes of people who are suffering through illnesses. It's inspiring, to say the least.

Thank you everyone. I'm a bit worried because I haven't heard anything since last night. Last I heard she was in ICU having breathing problems.

Update: I just heard that she is doing better and they're hoping to move her out of ICU tomorrow! She was able to sit up for almost an hour this afternoon and was able to finally eat a little too. I'm so relieved. Thanks everyone for your support. It means the world!

2/19/11 Update: Tamra has taken a turn for the worse & is being rushed to have an MRI - they are afraid there may be a blood clot somewhere in her brain.
Dear Lord, please hold Tamra close and if it be thy will, let her experience healing and allow her to stay here longer with all of us who love her so much.

Update: 2/20/11 - Tamra is still in ICU in alot of pain. The MRI & Cat Scans ruled out any blood clots in her brain. She is able to communicate with them now & saying that her skin is crawling. The Drs don't know what is causing this. I pray that our Lord will give them the wisdom to figure it out and bring her comfort & healing.
Thanks to all of you for your support. I feel so helpless and it really helps me to be able to come here & post.
