Marcia and family I am so sorry for Blu's loss. My prayers of peace and comfort for you. You made the right decision for him, which not all the time is the right one for us as we want to keep holding to them. Is any comfort to you, you took all the necessary measurements to be sure that you gave him the chances he needed by consulting with your vet and others. Again, you are in my thoughts. He is already running and playing on the rainbow bridge. hope my Holly welcomes him as well as the other missing members of the forum. :hp

I'm so sorry Marcia. When I read the update last evening, I thought to myself there was probably only one choice. You did the right thing for little Blu. I could not have looked at one of my girls in such pain. I'm in tears for you.

RIP sweet Blue

I am in tears reading this. I'm so sorry that you had to say goodbye to Blu at such a young age. It is truly a selfless decision you made, but heartbreaking all the less. He was fortunate to have had such a loving family.

Marcia:

I'm so sorry you lost your little soulmate. There was such love in your post and you did the most unselfish thing by helping him to be free of pain. I know your heart aches and mine aches for you. You'll carry him in your heart for the rest of your days and he'll be your guardian angel. Please take care of YOU now and try to get some rest.

Oh Marcia, I'm just now seeing this! I haven't been on this site all week. I am so, so, so sorry! I know you are just heartbroken, and I was so looking forward to petting his sweet little self... tears... My prayers for you and your husband and your other pups.

Marcia, I am just seeing this and am sending my deepest sympathy to you on your loss of your baby Blu. You did everything right for your little boy and he knew how much he was loved. It's the hardest thing in the world to have to say goodbye to our babies in this way. Praying for God's comfort for you and your family. God bless you. :hp

Thank you so much. My heart aches horribly. I am still crying all the time. He is everywhere I look. It is very hard to realize that he is not following me around anymore. He used to sleep by me and was the first thing I would see in the mornings, his bright happy blue eyes and always a wagging tail. Now there is just an empty bed and tears in my mornings. The hours seem to be going by extra slowly lately. I really loved that little one. Never thought I would hurt so much.

Marcia....sadly many of us know that feeling. To this daybI see Maxine from time to time. I was told that they really ARE there making sure we're okay. Get a copy of Dog Heaven (a children's book); it is sweet and consoling. In the meantime just please know we are feeling your loss with you and sending as many prayers of comfort we can.

Oh Marcia, I wish I could bring you instant peace. You brought back all the heartache of losing my Honey. But we both know that it will take time. It's hard to accept that if you didn't love so fully, you wouldn't hurt so much now. But that is the gift that dogs give to us humans. So remember your Blu with love and joy... knowing that he is free from pain and happy in the arms of that divine being who understands that there can be no glorious afterlife without dogs.

Sending you warm thoughts and gentle hugs...
Susan
