My dad had surgery schedule for next week to have a hip replacement. We had all set up and arrangements made for care and travels. Well this morning he decided to climb up in a stair to get some papers from the top of the closet and fell, broke his arm and lacerated an eye. :bang he very well know we dont want him climbing, my sister even told him no lawn, painting or else until the surgery. He is 79 years and lives alone, very independent and kind of stubborn. He was so happy yesterday thay all the arrangements were in place. Please pray for prompt healing.

Oh my - when it rains, it pours. I hope things go well for your dad now that he's banged himself up a bit. The lacerated eye is very concerning and I hope doesn't cause any permanent damage. Sending prayers for your dad and both of you girls.

We do tend to try to be independent as we age. :sml
Hoping for the best, and quickest healing.

Ouch, that sounds nasty. My dad was stubborn that way too. Prayers coming for your Dad.

Thanks for your prayers. The ortho saw him today to what i thought was just casting( i was praying was just that not surgical fixation) and got a call from sister saying dad needs surgery, so is schedule for Thursday. So please keep the prayers coming. I will not move my days of travel as my sister is staying with him and a caregiver during the day. I will go next Monday as planned before all this happened. I hope he learned his lesson on the climbing department. And if I tell you what he was looking for you all will :bang :bang  he was looking for a $7.00 hospital receipt he knew he had on his papers for something he got a bill for. Well i figure it was better to pay the bill than all this trouble. The accountant on him took over :dk. There is no telling with tax season coming there will be no taxes for the first time in more than 40 years that i can recall.
