Last week my cousin took in a stray she had found. She was going to take it to the vet for a check but then 2 of her dogs who were 15+ years needed her attention. Her dogs, Tozo and Mona ended up crossing the bridge this past Sunday. When my cousin came home from the vet after saying good-bye to her faithful friends, she discovered that the stray had given birth to 5 puppies :OMY

She has decided to keep the stray and has named it "Juno" (yes, like the movie about the unwed mother. :lol3 ) She is working with the rescue that she has adopted from in the past to find homes from the pups.

The really funny thing is she recently asked me, "I have four dogs and would love another one but my husband says 4 is enough. What do I do?" I had suggested fostering and she really liked the idea and was looking into it when she found Juno. Guess this is God's way of letting her know she was on the right path. :th-up

What a touching story, both happy and sad. I hope the puppies find good homes and that Juno fits right into your cousins family. Puppies had to help the pain of loosing her other two furbabies!

That is bittersweet for her I am sure. But I am sure she is very excited to see all those little puppies.

OMGosh, sounds like more than one guardian angel at work here. Sad to lose her two seniors (and on the same day yet), but how wonderful that Juno ended up where she was both needed, and needed to be at such a critical time for her. Yep - the Lord works in mysterious ways sometimes...

Possibly part chow--she has a blue tongue, maybe a little beagle, and who knows what else. My cousin says she is a really sweet dog, doesn't mind people approaching her pups.
