Thank you, Terry!

Can I ask... where is Central Colorado? I lived in Colorado Springs in the late 70's but wasn't sure if Central meant "in the middle" or if there is a town named Central. :gig

Yup, I'm in Colorado Springs on the west side near downtown.

We lived on what was then the east border of town, on North Carefree Circle just a block west of Palmers Road. I haven't been back in years but I understand that is no longer anywhere near the edge of town!

We only lived there for two years before we got homesick for Washington and moved back. We missed the water... and the mountains were on the wrong side! But we enjoyed our time there. It is a beautiful place.

:lol2 Most of us in my neighborhood (near I-25) call ourselves "west-siders," but you are correct about the east part of town no longer ending at Circle. I would say that Circle is now mid-town. We are built pretty much all the way to Falcon and beyond to the east, all the way to Northgate Road and west to the boundary of the Air Force Academy. Black Forest is getting pretty developed, but the fire a couple of years ago left many without a home or the ability to rebuild. There are open spots still to be developed, but in due time.
You wouldn't recognized the place. Even downtown is nothing but loft apartments (apparently the "cool" thing to buy when you have too much money), bars and restaurants. Not much shopping.
