newborn fawns only defense against preditors is to lie still, usually in the grass or bushs. they have no scent to help out. so it was intsinct working. amazing video though

This happened to a neighbor last year (lake house). The fawn just laid in their backyard waiting on mom. I watched from my deck for a long time, but decided mom was not going to come back until I went inside. We assumed mom did return. The fawn was gone the next morning but was there for SEVERAL hours..worried us
